Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad Al Maliki stressed the importance of Jordanian-Palestinian coordination in face of the escalating challenges posed by Israel in Palestine.

The Palestinian Minister said that the Arab Higher Committee will be invited to talk with Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas to review the challenges that the Palestinian cause faces.

He added that there still is a chance to work with the American administration to reignite talks with Israel about the two-state solution and the cessation of Israeli settlement of Palestinian lands.

King Abdullah had visited Ramallah on Monday for the first time in five years to hold talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, where the Jordanian monarch reaffirmed the Jordanian support for the right of Palestinians to establish an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
