The Royal Jordanian Air Force received two additional UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the U.S., according to a statement on the U.S. Embassy in Jordan’s Facebook page.

The U.S. reportedly plans to deliver a total of 12 UH-60M helicopters by October 2017.

The embassy posted a video on their page, showing U.S. MAJ Grayson Angus, who is currently working in Jordan, describing how this aircraft will enhance Jordan’s security:

Jordan receives one of the largest amounts of Foreign Military Financing of any country in the world, according to the U.S. Department of State’s website.

“The United States has provided assistance to Jordan’s security efforts since the late 1960s. Support is focused on building capacity of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) to counter threats in the region and support professionalization of the military,” the website reads.
