President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, announced that he has stopped communication with Israel on all fronts. He called on other factions, namely Hamas, to toe the line and cease media disagreements in order to allow Al Aqsa to be the focus. 

He added, following a leadership meeting held to discuss the Occupation's transgressions over Al Aqsa, that "Eastern Jerusalem" is the eternal capital of our people and our country. Its sovereignty is ours, as are its holy sites, and we will continue to protect it and work on liberating it from the Occupation." 

He also promised that they would be providing whatever they can to fortify their people's position in Jerusalem, dedicating $25mil  to the cause.
