Israeli occupation forces have shot and allegedly killed a Palestinian in the village of Tuqu, in the occupied West Bank, Ma’an News has reported.

An Israeli army spokesperson said in a breaking news statement that the Palestinian had allegedly attempted to commit a stabbing attack, providing no further details.

Eyewitnesses told Ma’an that Israeli soldiers fired four shots towards the Palestinian, who was then run over by an Israeli military vehicle.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, Israeli forces prevented ambulances from accessing and treating the Palestinian.

Rights groups have routinely condemned Israeli forces an excessive use of force, with Palestinians deliberately shot dead despite posing no imminent threat to life, in what can be termed as ‘extra judicial killings.’
