Atef Tarawneh, Speaker of the Parliament, requested an emergency Arab Parliament session to review the latest developments in the Israeli violations of Al Aqsa Mosque.

Tarawneh had sent urgent telegrams to unions, organizations and Arabic and international parliamentary committees describing the damage Israeli authorities are causing in Jerusalem, requesting support to preserve Islamic and Christian sites in the city.

The Speaker expressed his hope that the Arab world and international community would realize the severity of the situation and its effect on the peace and security of the region, saying that the continuation of the violations would only lead to more violence.
