Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi arrived in Mosul Sunday and announced its liberation from Daesh.

Al Abadi also congratulated Iraqi forces and the Iraqi people for the victory against the extremist organization.

The US-backed battle for Mosul that has been raging since October of last year, has finally ended the three-year rule of ISIS in one of Iraq’s largest cities and is considered a major victory against ISIS.
