Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Al Safadi will visit the Belgian capital of Brussels on Monday to head the 12th meeting of the Jordanian-European Association Council, alongside the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini.

The meeting will also be attended by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday.

During the visit, Safadi will meet with the Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the NATO Secretary General, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament and a number of other senior European officials.

The meeting of the Jordanian-European Association Council, the highest formal meeting between the two sides under the umbrella of the Association Agreement, will see discussion of a number of common themes and ways to develop bilateral relations, the statement said.
