Roya TV topped the list of the most watched channels during the fasting month of Ramadan, according to the results of a survey conducted by Nielsen Marketing Research.

Roya received 34.3 per cent of the Jordanian public's viewership, surpassing the 33.6 per cent average viewership of MBC 1, broadcast from Dubai Media City, and the 16 per cent average viewership for Jordanian TV, according to the survey.

Conducted by telephone throughout Ramadan, the survey reached all the governorates of the Kingdom, with a random sample of 1,600 people from different regions targeting those 15 years and older.

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, the channel provided a wide range of content developed by the channel's management based on studies and surveys conducted with the public.

Among the series shown on Roya during Ramadan were the popular series Bab Al Hara and Tuq Al Binat as well as the series Afarit Adly Allam.

The Ramadan schedule also included comedies, notably "Watan A-Watar" by Palestinian artist Imad Farajin, comedy series ”Comedy Hour” and "Hub Al Hub", as well as two cooking programmes, “Sitte Al Nakhat” and “A Roya Kitchen” with Nabil.
