Looks like this unfortunate kitten has used up the last of its nine lives, although the poor feline’s bad luck did not end there.

It must have been late at night when road workers painted a yellow line over what remained of the kitten that appears in this photo, because it’s unclear how the professional laborers did not spot the poor creature on the side of the road.

The photo was posted by a local Facebook user while she was driving on one of Amman’s roads.

Social media users who commented on the photo were both “disgusted” and heartbroken for the fallen feline.

While it is not unusual to see dead cats on the streets of Jordan - the Kingdom is known for its large population of stray cats - this particular image certainly warrants a double take.
