The Israeli army announced on Tuesday that one of its drones crashed in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday night, the second such incident in less than a week, the Palestinian Press Agency, Safa, quoted the Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, as saying.

The Israeli newspaper reported that a small spy plane drone crashed in southern Gaza, adding that the Israeli army is investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Addressing Israeli fears that the drones contained sensitive intelligence data, the newspaper reported that the information collected by the drone was automatically deleted.

The Israeli army lost another drone of the same type two days ago in Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, Safa added.
