Traffic on King Hussein bridge has increased over the past nine days with 86 thousand travellers crossing in and out of the Kingdom.

Colonel Yazan Al Oran, head of the Bridge Safety Administration, said that there has been an increase in activity on the bridge, especially during the Eid Al Fitr vacation.

Al Oran said that as of June 20, the bridge has been operating for 24 hours except on Fridays and Saturdays, and that the number of travelers crossing the bridge daily averages ten thousand people.

The Colonel said that that travel has been made easier for Palestinians, claiming that the process for a Palestinian bus to cross doesn’t take more than seven minutes.
