Jordan’s Crown Prince, Al Hussein bin Abdullah, celebrates turning 23 today.

The eldest child of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania was born on June 28, 1994.

Proud mum, Queen Rania, posted an Instagram post wishing her son a happy birthday.

“Happy Birthday my eldest, Al Hussein! I am forever thankful for the day you came into our lives…

His Royal Highness was born in Amman and was named after his grandfather, and founder of modern Jordan, the late King Hussein. Al Hussein was named Crown Prince by a Royal Decree on July 2, 2009.

After completing his education at Amman’s elite school “King’s Academy,” Al Hussein went on to attain a degree in International Relations from the prestigious Georgetown University in Washington DC.

As a part of his royal duties, Prince al Hussein accompanies his father on several official and military missions in the Kingdom and abroad.

In his spare time, the prince enjoys reading and playing football.

Prince Al Hussein has one brother, Hashem, and two sisters, Iman and Salma.
