Patrols working to minimise Eid traffic chaos in Jordan

The Kingdom will be implementing patrols and traffic controllers at mosques over the Eid prayer period, to organize traffic for worshipers, according to Director of the Central Traffic Department, Bassem Al Kharabsheh.

According to Kharabshe, the department will distribute greeting cards and chocolates to the citizens over the busy holiday period.

In a statement to Ro’ya Arabic, he said that that the movement of traffic during the Eid al-Fitr is expected to smooth and calm in the morning period, adding that by second and third day of the Eid busy movement between restaurants and entertainment venues are expected to increase the traffic flow.

Kharabshe confirmed that this period will be covered by the traffic policemen for ease of movement.

Regarding traffic tickets during the Eid, Kharabshe said that there will be a tightening on any serious violations that would disrupt the movement and affect the flow of traffic.
