The families of gendarmes killed in the line of duty will receive financial support and gifts on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, the end of the fasting month of Ramadan, officials announced on Sunday.

The General Directorate of the Gendarmerie (Darak) announced that it will provide financial support to the families of killed gendarmes for Eid as a mark of appreciation for their deceased relatives' service and in order to provide relief to the families.

At the beginning of Ramadan, the Gendarmerie also provided financial support and a number of symbolic gifts to the families of gendarmes killed on duty.

The financial support comes in implementation of Royal directives from His Majesty King Abdullah to provide the necessary care and support for the families.
