School’s out for summer, but the Ministry of Education has already announced when the new Academic year will commence.

Jordanian kids will be going back to their classrooms - in public schools - on September 5 2017. Meanwhile, teachers will start their lesson planning a few days earlier, on August 24.

Schoolchildren were set to start the new semester on September 1. However, they will be blessed with four extra days of summer fun, as Eid Al-Adha will fall on the first day of September this year, as well.

Cheer up, kids, almost a year from now (June 12 2018), you will be saying hello summer holidays all over again. As for teachers, they are expected to hand over students’ exam results and school certificates by June 24 2018, according to the Ministry of Education.
