Jordanian Taekwondo Olympic gold medalist, Ahmad Abughaush, has advanced to fourth place in June’s World Taekwondo Federation’s (WTF) world Olympic ranking for his weight category.

The 21-year-old, who won Jordan’s first Olympic gold medal in the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympics ranks third in the world, according to the World Taekwondo Federation.

The top six players, in their respective weight categories, in the WTF’s world ranking can directly qualify to compete in the next Olympics provided they were able to maintain their ranking for two years.

Abughaush continues his training in a South Korean training camp in preparation for the upcoming World Taekwondo Championships which is to be held later this month in Muju, South Korea.
