Summer may have taken its sweet time to come, leaving the Kingdom guessing as to its much-anticipated TOA, but now there’s little doubt left that it’s arrived. Temperatures are set to soar in the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Civil Defence warned on Thursday.

Many observing Ramadan this month need to avoid the added risk of dehydration, which calls for extra caution in the next few days until the heatwave passes.

The Civil Defence advises avoiding direct sun during peak times, wearing loose clothing and keeping hydrated, until the country’s desert breezes and cooling clouds return.

Stay safe and call 911 if you experience dizzy spells, feel generally unwell or need urgent help.
