The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, issued on Wednesday a stark warning about the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of an Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) assault on Rafah, in southern Gaza.

In a post on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter), Ghebreyesus appealed to international powers to dissuade the Israeli Occupation from invading the Palestinian city and urged all parties to cease fire and seek lasting peace.

The IOF have renewed their intent to storm Rafah, which currently shelters approximately 1.4 million displaced individuals, ignoring global warnings.
