US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Wednesday during his visit to Tel Aviv declared that the United States is resolutely aiming to secure a ceasefire in Gaza that would include the release of captives and detainees between Hamas and Tel Aviv.

Meeting with “Israeli” President Isaac Herzog, Blinken stressed, "Even in these challenging times, we are committed to achieving a ceasefire that will bring the detainees back home, and we aim to reach this immediately."

He attributed the sole failure to achieve a ceasefire agreement in Gaza to Hamas.
