The Petroleum Derivatives Pricing Committee held its monthly meeting today, Tuesday, to set the prices of oil and petroleum products in Jordan for the period from May 1st to May 31st.

The committee reviewed the global prices of crude oil and petroleum products during the month of April and compared them with those of the previous month, March - in which it found that a price increase is due.

After applying the pricing equation according to the global prices, it was found that the price of 90-octane gasoline increased by 20 fils/liter, and the price of 95-octane gasoline increased by 25 fils/liter - and found an increase in the price of diesel by 5 fils/liter.

Accordingly, the Committee decided set the price of 90-octane gasoline to 960 fils/liter instead of 940 fils/liter, and the price of 95-octane gasoline to 1,200 fils/liter instead of 1,175 fils/liter, and the price of diesel to 735 fils/liter instead of 730 fils/liter.

The committee also decided to maintain the price of kerosene for the upcoming month of May at 620 fils/liter, and to keep the price of a household gas cylinder (12.5 kg) at JOD seven per cylinder.
